Mustange Performance Suspension By Type

Upgrading your mustangs suspension can be very confusing. Here is some quick info about mustang suspension upgrades.

Mustang Lowering Springs: Set of 4 springs designed to lower the stance of your mustang, improve handling and in some cases can actually improve MPG.

Mustang Shocks & Struts: Mustangs have struts in the front and shocks in the rear. If you are going to lower your mustang more than 1 inch we suggest upgrading the shocks and struts at the same time. Tokico and Roush Performance have great reputations in the mustang shock and strut world.

Mustang Caster/ Camber Plates: If you lower your mustang too much, you will get negative camber on the front wheels/ tires. This is were the top of the tire leans in towards the motor. Negative camber in a mustang will wear tires very quickly. Adding Mustang caster camber plates will allow an aliment shop to correct the negative camber issue.

Mustang Sub Frame Connectors: High torque mustangs can actually tweak the frame on a hard launch. This is seen allot on the 1987-2004 mustangs. Adding sub frame connectors will eliminate the body flex and keep your mustang headed straight down the track.

Mustang Sway Bars: Adding mustang sway bars will stiffen up the chassis. These are suggest for road race and hard street driving applications. Some of our mustang sway bars have 3 mounting holes so that you can adjust how the suspension is set up.
