Steeda Watts Link
Steeda's Autosports Engineering Team has created the most technologically advanced suspension upgrade for the 2005-2012 Mustang GT. Dario Orlando, Steeda's founder insists that every product bearing Steeda's name be the best. Instead of rushing to market like many other manufacturers, Steeda devoted an extended period of time to testing, modeling, and re-testing its Watts Link. They started with a blank slate, built from the ground up. Their aim: To set a new benchmark standard for Watts linkage suspension systems.
MADE IN THE USA!
A Watts Link replaces your 2005-2012 Mustang's stock panhard bar. As your Mustang's panhard bar rises and falls due to bumps and hard turning, the axle moves laterally with respect to the chassis. This changes suspension geometry, causing sloppy handling. And, since the panhard bar is lower on the driver's side, the 2005-2012 Mustang has different cornering characteristics depending on whether you are turning left or right.
Replacing your Mustang's panhard bar with Steeda's Watts Linkage reduces unwanted lateral motion by more than 1/10. To the driver, this means the rear end will feel more connected to the chassis, steering will be more responsive, and cornering will be more stable. If you install this part, your Mustang's handling will be dramatically improved, and cornering characteristics will be more consistent regardless of which direction you turn.
Steeda's 2004-2012 Mustang Watts Linkage also allows you to adjust your Mustang's rear roll center height. The center link of Steeda's Watts Link is the rear roll center of a Mustang with this suspension upgrade. The rear roll center is a very important point in suspension geometry. The ability to fine-tune your Mustang's roll center will lead to better overall performance from your entire suspension system.
Steeda makes all of its products right here in the USA. Their Mustang Watts Link is made from lightweight 4130 chromoly steel alloy and is twice as strong as other manufacturers' Watts Linkages. The links feature urethane bushings for a low noise, vibration and harshness level that is appropriate for street use. Steeda uses aerospace grade ball bearings in this Watts Link to ensure precise movement.
NOTE: This Steed Watts Link is NOT compatible with Mustang Convertibles or Mustangs equipped with an Eibach or Ford Racing rear sway bar.
