By decreasing the distance the top of your shifter (and your hand) has to move to change gears, Steeda's new Mustang short throw shifter delivers quicker, more precise shifting. The less time you spend in between gears, the faster you get to the finish line.
The engineers at Steeda take a lot of pride in their quality, made in the USA short throw shifters. Their GT 500 short shifter has precise action, a 20% shorter throw than stock, and an internal spring assist to make sure you never miss 3rd gear.
Steeda's Shelby Mustang short throw shifter includes a strong billet mounting rail to replace the stock component. The included urethane bushings reduce deflection under hard shifting. The shifter base, top plate, and beam are CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum.
If you have a 2010-2012 Shelby GT 500, you will need to replace Steeda's upper shifter arm with your stock upper shifter arm in order to use this part. There are two bolts that hold the upper shifter arm in place.
