The unique independent rear suspension (IRS) of the SVT Cobras provides for excellent ride quality and better traction on the track than its live-axle cousins. However, because of its design, the IRS can experience roll steer that's roughly the same as bump steer which occurs on the front suspension. Roll steer is the tendency to for the rear suspension to cause your Cobra to steer itself as the rear wheels articulate. Steeda's roll steer kit corrects the geometry of the rear suspension and greatly reduces or even eliminates roll steer to keep your Cobra under control. This kit will only fit 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras with the stock IRS system.
Steeda's roll steer kit includes two billet aluminum adjustment collars and outer tie rod ends that are fully adjustable and use a series of spacers to alter your Cobra's suspension geometry enough to get rid of your rear roll steer and keep you on the road. Eliminating your roll steer will improve you handling balance and steering response while keeping your Cobra more stable during tough driving.
