American Racing 1 3/4" Long Tube Headers
w/ Catted X-Pipe
American Racing's long tube header and x-pipe combination package can give your SVT Cobra anywhere from a 25 to 40 horsepower gains by making your exhaust system more efficient. The kit's tubing is specially-designed to greatly decrease the amount of back pressure that's present in the factory exhaust system. The set of headers replace your factory exhaust manifolds while the catted x-pipe directly replaces your factory mid-pipe and catalytic converters and are manufactured with 304 stainless steel. American Racing designed this kit to fit 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras.
The pair of of long tube headers included with this kit have 3/8" flanges that fit onto your 4V 4.6L V8's exhaust ports. Each header has large 1-3/4" primary tubes that are shaped with precise mandrel-bending techniques that provide highly-efficient exhaust outlets. The primary tubes trail down into a 2-1/2" collector that's designed for excellent exhaust scavenging. These headers connect directly onto the American Racing catted x-pipe.
The x-pipe itself has 2-1/2" diameter, mandrel-bent tubing and is fitted with two of American Racing's high flow catalytic converters that have 200 cell metallic substrates. This x-pipe allows for much more streamlined exhaust flow than the stock tubing to give you excellent horsepower gains.
This package comes with all it necessary fittings and installation hardware, as well as oxygen sensor extensions.

This kit requires custom tuning. We recommend taking advantage of Stage 3's custom tuning package that comes with SCT's X-Calibrator 3 handheld tuner and qualifies you for our Loyalty Tunes program.
