This combo package will fit 1996 to 2004 Mustangs equipped with a 2V 4.6L V8 Modular engine and a manual transmission. The kit also includes gaskets, header bolts and a set of .
The included within this package are built specifically to replace your stock exhaust manifolds with a design that is nearly free of back pressure. Each header in this package features mandrel bent 1-5/8" primary tubes that lead down to a 2-1/2" collector housing. The headers are attached to a heavy-duty 3/8" flange that attaches directly onto your exhaust ports. The smooth bends of the tubing and larger diameter than stock allow for higher outflow with less limitations than the the factory manifolds. These headers have a chrome-plated finish that gives an old-school, hot rod look to your engine bay while being corrosion resistant.
Each of the included with this kit is completely made out of 2-1/2" diameter, mandrel-bent tubing. This X-pipe deletes your catalytic converters and features a real x-crossover, both of which aid in reducing back pressure while maximizing outflow rates. The removal of the catalytic converters means you unless some extra horsepower, but causes your Mustang to be for off-road use only. This X-pipe is a direct replacement for your factory mid-pipe and has a shortened design that hook's directly to the long tube headers that are also included in this package.
