Mustang GT 4.6L BBK Performance Package (+40 RWHP)
Stage 3 Motorsports takes some of the best performance enhancements that BBK Performance Parts has to offer and combines them with a new custom tune in order to pull up to 40rwhp out of your naturally aspirated S197 Mustang. This complete performance makeover for 2005 to 2009 Mustangs includes BBK's cold air intake with a titanium powder coat, a BBK dual 62mm throttle body, their excellent catted x-pipe, a set of BBK underdrive pulleys and an SCT X-Calibrator 3 preloaded with one of Stage 3 Motorsport's custom tunes that allows your Pony to reach an entirely new level of power and torque in a single kit.
The included BBK cold air intake uses a reusable cotton filter, heat shield and unique elbow design to efficiently bring colder air directly into your engine. BBK's CAI prevents heat contamination of the charge air that often occurs when using the stock airbox. The aluminum piping has a titanium powder coat finish that is corrosion-resistant.
BBK's dual 62mm throttle body is specifically designed to optimize airflow into the 4.6L V8. The throttle body is easy to install and uses the stock fasteners. Manufactured from high quality 356 aluminum castings, each throttle body comes with o-rings for the throttle shafts, OEM die-stamped throttle linkages and doubled-sealed bearings. BBK's throttle body optimizes airflow and allows the V8 to breathe easier for increased horsepower and torque.
To round out your S197's engine compartment, Stage 3 includes a set of BBK underdrive pulleys for the Mustang's belt-driven accessories. These pulleys are compatible with the factory serpentine belt and slow down accessory speed to create more power at the rear wheels. The pulleys are SFI certified and are CNC machined from aluminum and steel for high-quality and long lasting enhancements.
The S197's exhaust system gets a makeover by replacing the stock h-pipe and restrictive factory catalytic converters with a BBK catted x-pipe that fits onto stock or BBK shorty headers with no modifications. The x-pipe has 2-3/4" mandrel-bent, mild steel tubing that comes in an aluminized finish. High-flow catalytic converters and 1arge piping minimize back pressure for increased airflow and horsepower.
The kit comes standard with Stage 3's custom tuning package. The included SCT X-Cal 3 is preloaded with a tune that utilizes all of the performance enhancements of BBK's products to generate as much power and torque possible from your Mustang's completely upgraded engine and exhaust.
