Mustang GT / GT500
BMR Driveshaft Front Saftey Loop
A driveshaft safety loop is one of those little things that people don't think about much, but it can save you and your Mustang from serious damage. In high horsepower/torque drag cars it is not uncommon for the driveshaft's front and rear U-joints to break. A broken front U-joint at high speeds can pole-vault your Mustang with you inside. You'd be a lot better off spending a little bit of money now than spending time in the hospital later.
If your Mustang GT / GT 500 runs 12.99 or quicker in the quarter mile, a driveshaft safety loop isn't just a good idea, it's required by NHRA rules. BMR's driveshaft safety loops are made to NHRA specifications with a 1/4'' x 2'' plate. It bolts to existing mounting holes, so no welding or drilling is required.
Check out BRM's front and rear safety loop kit to prevent the rear U-joint from causing you trouble too.
