With the stock curb weight of the lightest V6 Mustang clocking in at just over 3300lbs, trimming some fat off of the S197 is always an excellent option for anyone serious about using their torque and horsepower efficiently. BMR's K-member is a perfect weight-saving accessory for the Mustang. This direct bolt-on replacement for the stock k-member, but weighs only 24lbs versus the stock's 44lb design. Each BMR k-member lowers the height of the motor mounts by 1/2" that allows for aggressive supercharger and turbocharger designs to clear the hood more easily. BMR's k-member fits both V6 and GT Mustangs as an OEM replacement for the stock k-member and motor mounts.
BMR designed their K-member from the ground up for massive weight savings without sacrificing strength and security to preserve complete chassis integrity. The 100% chomoly tubing has a larger diameter than the factory's designs. Each k-member receives a corrosion resistant powder coating in a choice of red or black hammertone from our drop-down menu.
