BMR Panhard Relocation Kit
The standard factory location for a panhard bar's mounting point does not allow enough clearances to properly mount an aftermarket differential cover which is essential for performance driving, especially high-torque applications. This complete panhard rod kit comes with a BMR adjustable panhard bar, a BMR relocation bracket and a Moser Engineering aluminum differential cover for Ford 8.8" differentials. The kit is designed for 2005 to 2013 GT Mustangs as a direct bolt-on installation.
The heart of this kit is the simple-looking relocation bracket. BMR's bracket simply adjusts the the mounting point of the driver's side of the panhard rod to change its angle slightly and allow more room for the placement of the included Moser differential cover. The bracket replaces the lower panhard rod mounting bolt in a simple bolt-on installation that doesn't alter overall suspension geometry while increasing clearance for the differential by an extra inch.
Each of BMR's adjustable panhard rods allows for the use of larger wheels and the more effective use of lowering springs. The rod is made from 1.25" heavy-walled drawn-over-mandrel tubing that is thicker and more durable than the weaker, non-adjustable panhard rod that the factory installs. The adjustment mechanism is CNC machined from 4130 chromoly steel alloy and can be used with the rod already installed on the Mustang. The rod has integrated polyurethane bushings that are much more durable than stock rubber.
The Moser differential cover included in BMR's kit is specifically made to fit Ford's 8.8" differential on the Mustang. The cover is built from 356-T6 aluminum and helps to shore up the outer caps integrity and reduces deflection to make for a longer gear lifespan. Moser's cover weighs only six pounds and comes with all necessary installation hardware.
