The Coast High Performance 5.1L Modular Pro-Street Short Block is one of the best solutions for a Mustang owner who's pushed their factory engine to the absolute limit of performance, but still wants more. CHP's short block was originally designed for 2005-2010 Mustang 3V GT. Each SRS forged dishtop piston is manufactured by Probe industries from 2618-T6 aluminum. These lightweight pistons feature tight running clearances and a low drag skirt design in order to be as efficient as possible. Each short block comes standard with Clevite 77 main and rod P-bearings. CHP's short block is internally balanced and blueprinted for ultimate quality and features a 4340 steel crankshaft from Probe Industries with 6" H-beam steel connecting rods.

Pistons and bore:
This kit can comes standard with a bore that makes 5.0L of total cylinder volume. To reach the full 5.1L displacement that this block is capable of, you can jump up to a huge +.072" overbore. Bore options are available from our drop-down menu and lead to the following compression ratios:
