This complete set of four camshafts from Comp are for the most aggressive street drivers out there and are able to increase engine performance over a wide rpm range. These cams are the top dog of the excellent XE-R line of camshafts for naturally aspirated Mustangs and are specifically designed to fit 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras with a 4.6L DOHC V8 engine. Comp's XE-R cams are able to produce more horsepower and torque while providing improved fuel economy, at the expense of a rougher and louder idle.
These high-powered versions of Comp's XE-R cams require PCM calibrations, lower differential gears, a larger throttle body and mass air, improved fuel injectors, and exhaust upgrades. Cobras with automatic transmissions will also require a 2200 rpm stall torque converter. These cams require Comp's Beehive valve springs (part# 26123).
