Going along with their excellent brake pad designs, Hawk provides Cobra and Mach 1 owners with their exclusive line of Quiet Slot rotors. Designed for street use, the Quiet Slot series features a unique alloy formulation of long grain carbon iron and molybdenum that gives each rotor excellent heat resistance without producing excess noise. With OE-style vanes and optimized heat resistance, Quiet Slot rotors give your brake system better performance and less wear. Each rotor is sold separately and fits the front hubs of 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras and Mach 1 Mustangs.
Hawk's Quiet Slot rotors are direct OE replacements and have unidirectional vanes that allow them to be mounted on either side of the Mustang. The shallow slotting that dots the entire friction surface of each rotor expels pad gasses while still keeping a 98% contact rate for improved braking. The slots erve as wear indicators as well. Just replace the rotors when they can no longer be seen.
The surfaces of the rotors are coated in Hawk's proprietary GEOMET compounds that keeps the Quiet Slots free from corrosion while being environmentally friendly. Quiet Slot rotors function at their best when paired with a set of Hawk Performance brake pads.
