This complete header and mid-pipe kit from Kooks Custom Headers gives your Cobra or Mach 1 a serious horsepower and torque bump, as well as a brutal race car growl. Kooks manufactures all of their exhaust parts from high-quality stainless steel that's completely corrosion-resistant. This kit is designed to fit the 4V 4.6L V8 engines of 2003 to 2004 Cobras and Mach 1 Mustangs.
The headers included in this kit feature 1-5/8" primary tubes that are carefully mandrel-bent to ensure optimum exhaust flow. The primaries meet in a 2-1/2" collector that sends exhaust gasses streaming into the mid-pipe quickly and efficiently. The headers feature a 3/8" flange that fits perfectly on your engine's exhaust ports without modifications.
Kook's catted x-pipe that's thrown in with this kit has two high-flow catalytic converters that greatly decrease the amount of back pressure in the exhaust system to make serious horsepower. The x-pipe itself is made out of 2-1/2" mandrel-bent tubing in an "X" configuration for more efficient exhaust flow over the stock h-pipe.
Kooks includes oxygen sensor extensions, hardware, and instructions with each of their kits.
