McLeod Adjustable Throwout Bearing
The throw-out bearing is an often overlooked, but important component of your Mustang's drive train. To a large extent it dictates what happens when you hit the clutch pedal. When you press the clutch, the throw-out bearing depresses the pressure plate's release fingers, moving the pressure plate away from the clutch disc. This stops the transfer of power through your Mustang's transmission and allows you to change gears.
McLeod's hydraulic throwout bearing was designed to slip over your 2005-2010 Mustang GT's existing bearing retainer. The 1400 series throw out bearing will only fit if your A dimension is greater than 3''. If you want to know more about how to determine your Mustang's A dimension, check out McLeod's website. Click on the Tech tab at the top and you will see the article about the A dimension, it's the first one listed.
McLeod's 2005-2010 Mustang GT throwout bearings are machined from anodized billet aluminum. They feature high quality elbow swivel fittings and high pressure stainless steel braided lines. With materials like these, McLeod's bearings are among the strongest and most durable on the market. You can use this Mustang GT throw out bearing to eliminate the need for overly complex clutch linkage when you're swapping transmissions.
This Mustang GT hydraulic throw out bearing kit includes:
- Internal bearing/slave cylinder assembly
- (2) 11" stainless steel braided lines
