The Shelby GT 500 comes from the factory on the threshold of big league power. If you've upgraded your GT500 with power enhancing products, you should seriously considering upgrading to a heavy duty twin disc clutch to safely manage all that raw power.
McLeod's GT500 street twin disc clutch can handled 800 horsepower, while maintaining good driveablity for street driving. It features organic clutch discs for smooth engagement and a soft pedal feel. This kit's Blanchard ground floater plate has multiple straps to keep noise levels down.
This Shelby GT 500 dual clutch kit includes: pressure plate, two organic friction discs, floater plate, anodized patent-pending adapter ring, and pilot tool.
You will need to get a new McLeod flywheel in order to install this on your GT 500. Stage 3 Motorsports carries McLeod's Aluminum GT 500 flywheel and Steel GT 500 flywheel.
The most cost effective option, though, is McLeod's GT 500 RST Twin Disc Clutch and Flywheel kit.
Technical Notes: To install this clutch kit on your 2010-2012 GT500, you will need to use a 2009 GT 500 OEM Throwout Bearing. This dual clutch kit only fits 26 spline input shafts.
