Direct Bolt on Single Outlet Axle Back

This axle-back kit from Mac Performance greatly enhances the sound of the V6 Mustang's single exhaust outlet and gives the car an excellent low growl that rivals the throaty noise of first and second generation Mustangs. Mac's axle-back is a direct replacement for the stock system and bolts directly-on in its place. The kit is specifically designed for 2005 to 2009 V6 Mustangs.

Each of Mac's kits is made entirely of high-quality stainless steel and comes in a highly polished finish. The included muffler is fully chambered and ends in a large 4" exhaust tip that's angle cut and rolled for a classic, sporty appearance.

Amazing sound, sexy tip!

First. There is quite an audible drone from 1k to 2500. It rolls off nicely though and cruising there is none. Backing off at anytime during the low rpm drone of course cuts it too. Second. It sounds INSANE. It comes on very angry at first but quickly mellows in to a deep smooth growl/roll. No buzz, no harshness. My friends who live around 4-bangers and V6s swore it sounded like a Euro V8 to them. So yes, do know, no muffler can make your V6 rumble like American V8 thunder. I don't care what anyone says. You need to do way more than an axle back to achieve that. But you can have something that does NOT sound ricey or thrashy. I cannot remove the grin from my face when ever I'm driving around town now. Addicting sound to say the least.
