Maximum Motorsports Coupe Chassis Brace Package
Flat, controlled cornering is an important part of performance driving, and hardly anyone knows that better than Maximum Motorsports. This comprehensive chassis brace package features a set of heavy-duty chassis and frame braces that greatly reduce chassis flex under hard cornering and tough driving on the street or track. The kit includes a strut tower brace, a four-point k-member brace, and a set of full-length subframe braces. All of this additional chassis stiffening means you'll be able to shrug off the toughest turns and highest-gee maneuvers. All of the kit's components are built specifically to fit 2003 to 2004 SVT Cobras.
The Maximum Motorsports strut tower brace included in this kit reduces the amount of flex that your front chassis undergoes during hard corners by keeping your strut towers level and by adding extra bit of structural strength to your engine bay. The brace is extremely easy to install and simply sits right on top of your Cobra's strut towers and use the factory bolt provisions. This strut tower brace will only fit over the factory Eaton M112 supercharger.
The k-member brace mounts directly onto your k-member using existing holes and a set of specialized brackets. The brace stiffens up the k-member assembly and reduces deflection under heavy loads. With increased strength, the k-member is better able to maintain its alignment and thus make your Cobra more controllable through the turns. This k-member brace will require modifications to a convertible Cobra's lower cross members.
Maximum Motorsports' subframe braces require welding for a proper installation, but are agruably the best solution to the age-old problem of chassis flex. As your Cobra ages, wear on the subframe causes it to become more malleable, which causes flexing under high loads. These long subframe braces reinforce your chassis basically down its entire length and make your Cobra look like new.
