Maximum Motorsports Delrin IRS Upper Control Arm Bushings
Maximum Motorsports specifically designed this complete upper control arm bushing package to eliminate one of the most common problems found in SVT Cobras fitted with an independent rear suspension (IRS): wheel hop. Wheel hop is caused by the wheels rapidly gaining and losing traction in short order because of deflection within the IRS. Wheel hop is potentially dangerous and can cause component failures like cracked differentials or worse. This Delrin bushing and spacer kit tightens up the upper control arms and helps to reduce or eliminate common wheel hop issues. This full kit fits 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras fitted with the factory IRS system.
Delrin was specifically chosen because it does not allow the serious amount of deflection that rubber bushings can cause while being easier to install than most polyurethane designs. These bushings also manage to keep noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) around acceptable levels. The reduced suspension deflection gets rid of your Cobra's wheel hop, extending the lifespan of your suspension system and keeping your Cobra under control.
