It's extremely easy to completely crack or even destroy the differential cover of Cobras with independent rear suspensions in high-horsepower applications with extremely bad wheel hop. This complete differential mount kit comes with a full set of bushings and mounts that can adjust your Cobra IRS pinion angle to reduce driveline vibrations and keep your differential cover intact. This kit is highly recommended for drag-prepped Cobras that experience hard launches where wheel hop becomes an extremely serious issue. The kit will only fit 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras still outfitted with the stock independent rear suspension (IRS) system.
The bushings are a modular system that are able to adjust pinion angle by up to four degrees while also providing more stiffness throughout the IRS which helps reduce wheel hop and unpredictable suspension inputs caused by bushing deflection. The bushings and mounts may cause a slight increase in noise, vibration, and harshness, but the reduced driveline vibrations largely compensate for the increase. The bushings will stop violent movement of the differential and prevent its failure.
