SVT Cobra 4V 4.6L
MM IRS Adjustable Tie Rod End Kit
An extremely common issue with the independent rear suspension (IRS) on 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras is bumpsteer or roll steer. Bumpsteer is the tendency for the wheels to suddenly, and unpredictably change their toe angles when the suspension is put under articulation. The sudden changes cause the suspension to steer the car and cause unstable and potentially dangerous driving. This is especially a problem with lowered Cobras that have altered the factory suspension geometry. Maximum Motorsports manufactures this adjustable tie rod end kit to help combat bumpsteer and make your ride more safe and stable at high speeds. The kit will only fit 1999 to 2004 SVT Cobras fitted with the factory IRS system.
This kit is a direct replacement for your rear tie rods, and not only feature an adjustable design, but are far stronger than the OEM versions. The adapter sleeves connect directly to your Cobra's IRS inner tie rods and require no drilling on the stock spindle or other permanent modifications. The kit uses a series of spacers to fine-tune your bumpsteer characteristics as they're altered because of lowering springs, more rigid bushings or other modifications. The tie rod end kit is made from tough chomoly steel and anodized aluminum that can handle extremely high-powered Cobras.
