1996-2002 Mustang Cobra PA Performance 130 Amp Alternator Kit

Increased power needs that come from Cobras decked out in performance gear that drains your battery faster than the bare-bones factory alternator can charge it, or even worse fail to power essential cockpit gear. PA Performance provides a solution with their 130 amp alternator kit that, unlike competing brands, is a completely new unit instead of a failure-prone rebuilt unit. PA Performance carefully designed this alternator to be a direct replacement for the stock unit on 1996 to 2002 SVT Cobras with 4V 4.6L engines.

This heavy-duty alternator is capable of generating up to 80 amps at idle alone, but can be pushed up to 145 amps at its maximum output at 6000 shaft rpm. PA Performance designed their alternator to be used with the stock belt and the entire unit only weighs 15lbs to not add weight onto an already very heavy Mustang. PA Performance's Mustang alternators come standard with a pulley and an internal voltage regulator and are practically ready to install out of the box.
