This aftermarket alternator from PA Performance is a direct OEM replacement for the stock alternator on 2005 to 2008 GT Mustang. PA Performance's alternator eliminates the persistent diode feedback problem on the stock alternator that caused the CEL for the cam position sensor.
PA Performance doesn't use refurbished or re-manufactured alternators like other brands. This alternator is 100% new and built from the ground up to last. Each alternator is rated at 130 amps and comes with an internal voltage regulator and pulley. PA's alternator is capable of increasing charge capacity while using the stock mounts and serpentine belt.
The alternator can produce up to 80 amps at idle with 2000 alternator shaft rpm and up to 160 amps at maximum with 6000 alternator shaft rpm. Each alternator weighs 15.2 pounds and comes in a choice of color options available from our drop-down menu.
Required modifications: PA Performance requires an upgrade to the main power wire due to the higher voltages.
