The next step up in PA Performance's excellent 6G Alternator series is this 200 amp direct OEM replacement for the stock alternator on the 2005 to 2008 GT Mustang. This alternator greatly improves on the original flawed stock design by eliminating common issues and providing more power.
PA Performance builds their alternators from scratch instead of refurbishing or re-manufacturing like some of their counterparts. The quality design completely mitigates the stock alternator's diode feedback issue that caused a CEL for the cam sensor. Each alternator comes with a voltage regulator and pulley.
This 6G alternator weighs 16.2 pounds and uses the factory mounts, brackets and serpentine belt and can be used with all stock equipment.
Additional modifications: PA Performance requires an upgrade to the main power wire due to the higher voltages.
