Pypes 2.5 Inch Electric Exhaust Cutouts

Wish there were a switch you could flick and get 10-20 extra horsepower? If you order and install Pypes Electric Exhaust Cutouts there will be.

This kit includes two 304 stainless steel Y exhaust pieces and two electric exhaust cutout kits. The straight section of the Y pipes install anywhere you can cut out 15'' of exhaust tubing. The Y-pipes have a diameter of 2.5'' and will work with 2-3/4'' tubes with minor modifications.

The tube that branches off the straight part of the Y pipe is covered by Pypes' electric exhaust cutout. The exhaust cutout system is connected to a switch that you can mount where ever you'd like. The switch allows you to partially or fully open the cutout, allowing exhaust gas to flow out through the opened branch of the Y pipe and increasing your Mustang's power.

The engineers who designed these exhaust cutouts must have something against leaks. The 303 stainless butterfly is double-sealed and sits flush in the bull nose seat in the Y pipe opening. The housing is precision machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to ensure a positive seal to the Y pipe. A high-temperature O-ring is included to further guard against leaks and insulate against heat.

The dependable reduction drive motor that operates the butterfly openings has built-in thermal protection. Wiring harnesses and a switch for the electric exhaust dumps are also included in this kit. All nuts, bolts, and hardware are made from ultra-tough stainless steel. All components of Pypes' exhaust cutout kit are made right here in the USA.
