The next step up on TCI's excellent Street Fighter Torque Converter line offers a 2000rpm stall speed advantage over the stock model with its Super Street Fighter torque converter, turning your 2005 to 2009 GT Mustang into a sprinting star.
This 10" torque converter can boost quarter mile times up to a half a second faster than stock. The Super Street Fighter features a hand made heavy-duty steel stator, heavy-duty clutches, furnace-brazed turbine fins and a modified impeller fin angle. INA thrust bearings cause low internal friction and keep temperatures low.
The Super Street Fighter greatly improves acceleration and provides extremely low elapsed times by increasing torque multiplication over the stock converter.
TCI's torque converter is meant specifically for the 5R55S automatic transmission of the 2005 to 2009 GT Mustang and directly replaces the stock converter.
