Tokico Hi-Performance Front Strut
The Tokico HP series is one of the best non-adjustable suspension systems currently on the aftermarket for the S197. Each HP strut is carefully tuned to provide a firm, sporty suspension with little lateral movement that still provides a clean ride for the average daily driver. HP series rear shocks are also available and combined with these front struts, creates a complete suspension kit that allows your Mustang to take the tightest corners without the slightest concern. Tokico's struts fit 2005 to 2010 GT Mustangs with stock springs and most other aftermarket spring kits.
The HP strut gets it high performance characteristics from it's sophisticated piston design that uses a multi-stage, variable aperture valve that allows the piston to use less damping force at lower speeds that gradually increases force in conjunction with higher piston movement. The strut utilizes double mandrel-drawn pressure tubing that guarantees a consistent internal diameter with low friction. The HP series has a chrome-plated and polished piston rod with a Teflon coated guide that creates a long lifespan. A unique lubricating oil maintains its viscosity despite exterior temperature changes. Each HP strut uses it's high-tech, new age design to virtually eliminate body roll, braking nose dive and acceleration squat for one of the smoothest and sport rides available for the Mustang.
