Tokico Hi-Performance Rear Shock
This rear shock from Tokico is part of their HP series of suspension components that are the non-adjustable (and less expensive) cousins to the high performance Illumina series of shocks and struts. Each HP shocks comes with a "sport" calibration that gives the S917 impressive handling and road holding without completely sacrificing the smooth ride for the average daily driver. Tokico's HP shocks fit 2005 to 2010 GT Mustangs and can be used with the stock springs and many aftermarket lowering spring kits. HP front struts are also available.
Each HP shock has a unique dual damping design that has less force at low speeds that increases with higher range piston movement through a sophisticated variable aperture valve for a precise damping response. Tokico uses a specialized lubricating oil that maintains its viscosity despite temperature changes for more predictable suspension response. The pressure tubes are double mandrel-drawn to make a consistent diameter and minimize drag. All of Tokico's design elements come together to create a suspension system that reduces body roll, acceleration squat and braking dive turning your Mustang into a road-gliding champion.
