X-Charger Supercharger Kit - HI-PO Plus w/o Tuner
The X-Charger from Explorer Express is a complete supercharger kit designed specifically for the 4.0L Cologne V6 engine used on S197 Mustangs. The supercharger, and its associated hardware, can add up to 100 horsepower and 80ft/lbs of torque to the Mustang without losing any of the V6's excellent fuel economy. Each X-Charger kit is built around an Eaton, Roots-type head unit with a 2.8" pulley capable of producing up to 10psi of boost. Explorer Express' supercharger will fit 2006 to 2009 V6 Mustangs and will require custom tuning in order to operate properly and avoid engine damage.
Every X-Charger kit comes with new spark plugs, serpentine belt and other hardware. A new 84mm MAF housing and high performance K&N air filter come standard with each kit and replace the stock airbox to supply the supercharger with its necessary airflow. The kit comes with a bypass valve integrated into the design of the head unit that relieves boost pressure at low RPMs to keep your Mustang and gas mileage under control while delivering the power you need at the track.
Explorer Express includes a custom, laser engraved dash plaque with the purchase of every X-Charger that bears the supercharger's logo and serial number. Detailed instructions and all necessary installation hardware make the X-Charger one of the quickest and easiest to install supercharger packages on the Mustang aftermarket. Along with it's very simple maintenance demands, the X-Charger is practically hassle-free.
